Policies & Procedures

Equality, Diversity & Inclusion (EDI) Policy

Purpose & Scope

Asset Plus Digital is committed to fostering an inclusive, equitable, and representative environment for all employees, contractors, board members, clients, suppliers, and collaborators across our physical and digital operations. This policy outlines our approach to embedding EDI principles into our culture, operations, and partnerships.

Vision

We strive to create a workplace where everyone feels safe, respected, and empowered to contribute. Diversity is embraced as a driver of innovation and strength, and inclusion is integral to every decision, from recruitment to project delivery.

Objectives

Our goals include increasing representation of underrepresented groups, ensuring equitable access to opportunities and advancement, promoting inclusive leadership, eliminating bias in employment practices, and designing digital solutions that reflect inclusive values.

Implementation

To achieve these objectives, we will adopt inclusive recruitment practices such as blind hiring and diverse interview panels, and advertise roles across varied platforms. All staff will undergo annual EDI training, with additional workshops for managers and mentorship programs for underrepresented employees.

We will cultivate a culture that celebrates identity-based awareness days, supports employee resource groups, and offers flexible working arrangements. Accessibility will be prioritised in both physical and digital workspaces.

In client engagements, we will apply inclusive design principles, conduct representative user research, and collaborate to uphold EDI standards.

Roles & Responsibilities

Leadership will champion EDI at the strategic level and allocate necessary resources. The HR & People Team will oversee implementation and grievance handling. Managers are expected to model inclusive behaviour and ensure compliance within their teams. All employees are responsible for engaging with EDI initiatives and maintaining respectful conduct. Suppliers and partners must align with our EDI standards in joint work and procurement.

Monitoring & Evaluation

We will conduct annual audits, track diversity metrics, and gather anonymous employee feedback to assess progress. This policy will be reviewed annually or sooner if legislation changes, feedback suggests improvements, or internal audits identify gaps.

Reporting & Accountability

Discrimination or exclusion can be reported confidentially. All reports will be investigated promptly and fairly, with disciplinary action taken where necessary. Whistleblowers will be protected from retaliation.

Legal Compliance

This policy complies with the Equality Act 2010, the Public Sector Equality Duty (where applicable), and GDPR in handling sensitive personal data.

Modern Slavery Act Policy

Asset Plus Digital is firmly committed to preventing modern slavery and human trafficking across all areas of our business and supply chains. In alignment with the Modern Slavery Act 2015, this policy outlines our approach to identifying, mitigating, and eliminating risks of exploitation.

This policy applies to all employees, contractors, suppliers, and service providers involved in our domestic and international operations.

We maintain zero tolerance for slavery, servitude, forced labor, and trafficking. Our commitment includes proactive risk assessment in high-risk sectors such as construction, IT outsourcing, and facilities management, as well as in regions with weak labour protections. We vet suppliers through ethical sourcing checks, require contractual compliance, and conduct audits where necessary.

As a digital consultancy in the built environment sector, we work closely with partners to uphold ethical labour practices. All staff receive annual training on modern slavery awareness, with targeted sessions for procurement and project leads. Resources are provided to help identify and report concerns.

We encourage confidential reporting through whistleblowing channels, investigate all reports promptly, and take appropriate action, including remediation and disciplinary measures where breaches occur.

Performance is monitored through supplier assessments, training completion rates, incident tracking, and audit outcomes. This policy is reviewed annually and updated as needed. Our Modern Slavery Statement is publicly available and submitted to the UK Government registry.

We comply with the Modern Slavery Act 2015, the Human Rights Act 1998, and relevant ILO conventions on forced labour.
